Pass fail confusion in products inspection
We who are involved in the garment industry are constantly exporting garments abroad. A major part of Bangladesh's foreign exchange comes from garments exports. Bangladesh is second in the world in clothing production; sometimes it is the first. Many workers are involved in the garments we produce. Some of them are skilled, some are unskilled and some are average. Our clothing industry is based on them. Since there is a mix of skills and inefficiencies; therefore, the quality of the clothes produced is more or less different. There is no end to the complaints of the buyers.
Everyone wants good quality, some customers are not paying good price. There is confusion in the quality department; about which level will be given to the buyer and which level will not be given. I will discuss this topic today. We can make a garment shipment if there are roughly three main qualities. They are:
1. Sellability
2. Wearability
3. Durability
Let's discuss step by step.Sellability: If a garment is in a condition to be sold then it is called Sellability.
That is, if there is no major visible problem in that garment, then it is salable. We can ship it.
Wearability: If a garment is wearable i.e. it has no rips, stains, cut seams and.It is eligible for shipment if there is no measurement problem.Durability: If a garment has a durable condition, that is, if it does not tear when pulled in a certain way, then it is called Durability.
Durability has proven to be one of the most important aspects of fabric quality and a major selling point for designers.
Another point of clothing is confusion.Confusion: Those of us who are final inspectors; they are often confused.
Pass the goods or fail! If such confusion is created, you can pass the goods.
Because if you had a good enough reason to fail, you would definitely fail. Since you definitely can't fail, pass it.
However, if possible, you can discuss with the buyer.
Thank you
